The  Didrikson Waterman fabric has a slightly rubbery feel to it with a small amount of stretch. When the jacket gets mucky wipe it down with a wet cloth. If necessary machine washed at 40 with a gentle detergent. Avoid fabric softener and tumble dryers as these may reduce the waterproofing.
