The Jr Thorac unit is protective gear specifically designed for snow sports. It has been designed to protect you back whilst still allowing the maximum range of motion.
Protection is only effective if it stays in place. The Thorac unit has a wide elastic Velcro waist belt and adjustable shoulder straps, so everything stays where it should. It can be worn over a jacket, fleece or baselayer.
The back protection is provided by Head's Flexshell technology. Fundamentally this comprises 10 ultra-light white shockproof shields you can twist and bend in all directions without affecting functionality.
